TestFlight beta
Play Sudoku Mori before it reaches the App Store.
The game is playable and not yet finished, and the beta is the last stretch of the way: the build as it stands, on your own iPhone or iPad, with the board, the lessons and the iPad layout already in it.
TestFlight is Apple's own app for running an app before it is released. It is free, joining takes about a minute, and leaving takes less.
What is in it
The whole game, before it is finished.
The beta is not a demo and not a cut-down build. It is the game, with the parts that are done in it, and the rest still arriving.
The board, as it will ship
A 9×9 grid that fills the width it is given, a keypad sized for a thumb, and a row of controls that never moves. Undo, redo, erase, notes and a hint all sit under the board.
Relaxed and Challenge
Sit with a puzzle for as long as it takes, with hints that name the technique you are missing, or let the game count three mistakes and the time beside them.
The eight lessons
Every technique the game teaches, from a single candidate to X-Wing, each one opening with a worked example and then three puzzles of its own.
A daily puzzle and a quiet calendar
A puzzle a day, a streak you are free to break, and a monthly goal if you want one. Progress is kept, and never pushed at you.
The iPad layout
Two columns on the larger screen, the board on one side and the controls on the other, and the sides swapped to suit the hand you hold it in.
Offline, and without an account
No sign-up, no advertising and no connection needed. Progress stays on your device, and in your own iCloud if you want it there.

Joining
Three steps, about a minute.
The invite is a public link, so there is no list to be added to and nothing to send us. It opens the current build to anyone who has the link, for as long as the beta runs.
Step one
Install TestFlight
TestFlight is Apple's own app for running an app before it is released. It is free, and it comes from the App Store like anything else there.
Step two
Open the invite
Tap the invite link on the device you want to play on. TestFlight opens it, says which build it is, and asks you to accept.
Step three
Install the build
Sudoku Mori then sits in TestFlight beside anything else you are testing, and opens like any other app on the device.
Being in a beta
An unfinished game, honestly unfinished.
It changes under you
Builds arrive as they are finished, and a screen you had got used to can move. That is the reason to play it now rather than after launch.
It can pause or end
A beta can close at any time, and without much warning. When it does, the App Store release is the next thing to wait for.
The same game, unfinished
Everything the site promises is already in it: offline play, no account and nothing blinking for attention. What is still arriving is polish.
Feedback is welcome, never owed
Playing it is enough. If a puzzle reads oddly, or something does go wrong, writing to us is the most useful thing you can do.
Common questions
What people ask about the beta.
Is the beta free?
Yes. TestFlight is Apple's own app and it costs nothing, and so does Sudoku Mori while the beta runs.
What do I need to join?
An iPhone or iPad running a recent version of iOS or iPadOS, and the free TestFlight app from the App Store. The invite does the rest.
Do I have to send feedback?
No. Playing the game as you normally would is enough. If something does go wrong, say which build you are on and what you expected to happen.
Can I leave the beta?
Yes, at any point. Remove the app in TestFlight, or delete it from the device, and no further builds arrive.
When does it reach the App Store?
When it is finished. The download button on this site turns into a link to the game's App Store page on the day it goes live, and the beta ends then.
Where do I write?
To support@sudokumori.com, or through the support page, which answers the questions people ask most.
Play it while it is being made.
The invite is open now. Play a few puzzles, keep the ones you like, and tell us about the ones you do not.
