Support
How can we help?
Sudoku Mori is a small, quiet game, and so is the support behind it. If the answer is not below, write to us and you will get a reply from the person who built it.
Common questions
The things people ask most.
Can I play it before it is released?
Yes. Sudoku Mori is in beta, and the invite is open to anyone who has it. The beta page says what is in the build and how to install it.
Does the game need an internet connection?
No. Sudoku Mori plays entirely offline. The only part that uses the network is iCloud backup, and you can leave that switched off.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up, no login and no profile to fill in. Open the app and start a puzzle.
How do I move my progress to a new iPhone or iPad?
Turn on Backup & iCloud under Settings, then Your data. Your progress follows your Apple ID to your other devices, and the same screen exports a backup you can keep yourself.
How do I change the theme?
Settings, then Appearance, then Theme: System, Light or Dark. System follows the device. If the light theme is still too bright for a dark room, turn on Increase contrast for deeper text.
Can I turn the haptics off?
Yes. Settings, then Gameplay, then Haptic feedback. Show timer and Highlight mistakes sit on the same screen.
What is the difference between Relaxed and Challenge?
Challenge checks your mistakes as you make them. Relaxed waits: with Highlight mistakes off, mistakes are hidden until you have finished the puzzle.
What does ichi-go ichi-e mean?
One time, one meeting. It is the phrase the game is built around: a puzzle is meant to be solved once, slowly, and enjoyed for what it is.
Writing to us
Include which device you are on, the version of iOS or iPadOS it is running, and what you expected to happen. If a puzzle went wrong, the difficulty and how far in you were helps more than a screenshot alone. On the beta, the build number TestFlight shows is worth adding too.
There is no phone line and no live chat. Every message is read, and really is answered by a person.
